Why Oxley Crossing?

Oxley Crossing is a fictional rural town, typical of a great many small towns all over Australia. The type of towns which fire my imagination and give me a warm feeling of belonging.

During our travels my husband and I themed our journeys by following the trails of the explorers, of whom John Oxley was one of our favourites.

Small towns, some of them older than Melbourne, sprang up in his wake as pastoralists took up land he surveyed!
